Transformation: One Project Per Year

Landscape design is not unlike fashion design. To achieve a great ‘look’, you must have great structure (walking paths, walls, patios, and borders), dynamic patterns (pergolas, water features, and boulders) and vibrant accessories (PLANTS!). Adding plants to the face of a home can draw attention to the architecture and create curb appeal. Outdoor rooms can be delineated using screening hedges and climbing vines. Any path, patio, or other structure can be softened and naturalized using plantings. Remember that appropriately installed plantings will take three years to acclimate and grow into their surroundings. Unlike the put-together-fashionista, plantings should never look ‘perfect’ on day one.
